This is a collection of watercolors, with charcoal effected with Dorland's Wax Medium, that I'm still fond of. All measure 9x12 inches and were created in 2000. They're a play on sound and reflections as represented by circles. A ground of red was created, over which I drew my charcoal sound rings. I then used the wax medium to continue the drawing application. This caused the charcoal to deepen in it's blackness and to spread and dirtify some of the red watercolor. The wax medium also helps to preserve and give the watercolor a continual wet look.
